the earth forgets its hold.
A hundred bodies become the seam
where we reach for gold.
My thoughts are wired in copper,
my memory housed in stone,
but the weight of the mountain falling
is a weight I cannot own.
The quiet light of the screen
shines on a hollowed floor.
