The Poem The concrete is cold where the giants slept.
A sudden sky, wide and unburdened,
swallows the memory of fuel and iron.
No engines tear the morning veil,
only the crows claiming the tarmac.
Where do they carry the quiet apocalypse?
They have folded their wings of soot
and flown to a different horizon,
leaving us to breathe the vacant wind.
